Thailand crackdown on large-scale drug imports from Laos and Myanmar

 

Thai authorities have cracked down on large-scale drugs worth US $ 54 million from Laos and Myanmar for distribution in Thailand and then exported to Malaysia.
According to ABC news, the drug is 788 kg (9.4 million). Thai authorities found that the drug was produced in Myanmar, crossing through Laos and crossing the Mekong River in northern Thailand's Chiang Rai province.
In the raid, the police arrested 11 traders and 11 involved. The target is to move south into Thailand to the border with Malaysia.
